Tattoo Aftercare in Bali & Our Hygiene Standards
Bali's sun, pools and ocean are part of the fun, and they're exactly why aftercare matters on a holiday tattoo. Here's how to look after your new ink.
Our hygiene standards
Hygiene isn't something we cut corners on. Everything at Mr Ink Bali follows Australian standards, the same as our Sunshine Coast studio.
- Single-use needles, every needle, every time
- Sterile equipment
- Stations cleaned and wrapped between every client
- Australian hygiene standards across the whole studio
Your artist will walk you through everything on the day.

Holiday tattoo aftercare tips
General guidance only. Always follow the specific aftercare instructions your artist gives you.
β Keep it out of the sun
Cover up and stay in the shade while it heals. Once it's fully healed, sunscreen keeps your tattoo looking sharp for years.
π Skip the pool & ocean
Hold off on swimming in pools, the ocean and spas until your tattoo has healed. Plan your tattoo for later in your trip if you want beach days first.
π§Ό Keep it clean
Wash gently with clean hands and mild soap, pat dry and apply a thin layer of the aftercare product your artist recommends.
β Don't pick or scratch
Some flaking and itching is normal. Let it do its thing and avoid picking or scratching.
π Loose, clean clothes
Wear loose clothing over the area so it can breathe and won't rub.
